Even when we can’t rejoice in life’s circumstances, the Lord is always worthy of praise. When we choose to rejoice in Who God is and what He did for us (loved us unconditionally, forgiven all our sins; saved us from an eternity in hell, given us great and precious promises, etc) we are in a position of power to overcome negativity!
It’s called a sacrifice of praise. When you don’t feel like it. When you can barely do it. In the middle of your struggle. Praise is a powerful weapon against the enemy of our souls, and against the negative circumstances from controlling our thinking. As a person thinks — so is he. Think hopeless — be hopeless. Think victory — be victorious!
